The Ministry of Finance has
revised the interest rates for the Small Saving Schemes vide Memorandum dated
September 29, 2016. As per the decision of the government interest rates for small
savings schemes are to be notified on quarterly basis. According the rates have
been revised for the third quarter starting from 1st October, 2016
and ending on 31st December, 2016 for financial year 2016-2017. The
rate of interest of the instrument are as under:
